GIGA Storage opens office in Belgium and appoints Joeri Siborgs as General Manager for GIGA Storage Belgium
Today, 12 January 2023, GIGA Storage announces the opening of GIGA Storage Belgium BV and appoints Joeri Siborgs as General Manager. With this expansion, GIGA Storage will extend their focus on large-scale energy storage in the Benelux.
With the establishment of GIGA Storage Belgium, the GIGA Storage Group shows concrete evidence of their international ambitions. The electricity grids and markets of the Benelux region are pioneers of the energy transition and the choice for Belgium was therefore easy to make.

Joeri Siborgs has held a number of management positions, most recently as Head of Business Development and Deputy CEO at re.alto Energy BV. Before that, he was active in the Elia Group since 2013 and has held various positions in corporate strategy, innovation and maintenance. Joeri holds an MSc in Energy Engineering & Innovation from KU Leuven in Belgium and KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.
